On June 2, 2026, our lives changed forever.
Just six weeks after welcoming our precious son, Luke Alan Ballard, into the world, we experienced every parent’s worst nightmare. Luke passed away unexpectedly due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
The loss of a child is a pain that words cannot fully describe. Our family was suddenly faced with overwhelming grief as we learned to navigate life without the baby boy we loved so dearly. Rose and Baker lost their baby brother, and our hearts were left searching for comfort, peace, and hope.
Even in the midst of our deepest sorrow, God met us there.
Though Luke’s life was brief, it was filled with love, joy, and purpose. He brought immeasurable happiness to our family and reminded us of the precious gift of every moment. As we walked through our grief, we realized how many families face similar losses and how desperately they need support, encouragement, and hope. That realization led to the creation of the Luke Alan Foundation—a way to honor Luke’s life by serving others, supporting grieving families, promoting infant safety, and sharing the hope we have found in Christ.
